New and improved Anglers café opens on Tuesday
Visitors to Anglers Country Park can enjoy new and improved café facilities from next week.
Wakefield's Mayor, Cllr Charles Keith, will be officially opening the Woodland Café on Tuesday 30 July, which will be open to customers from 10am.
Following the opening, the newly redecorated and refurbished café will provide food and drink seven days a week, from 9am to 4pm.
The venue will offer healthy and fresh food options with a variety of hot and cold food choices, children's options, sweet treats and hot and cold drinks. Daily specials will be available and food and drinks will also be available to take away.
Cllr Les Shaw, Wakefield Council's Cabinet Member for Corporate Services, said: "We're delighted to be welcoming these new and improved facilities to Anglers. It's a fantastic park, popular with thousands of visitors each year. I'm sure people will enjoy the new look café, with its extensive menu including healthy options that I'm sure people will enjoy."
The refurbishment includes a fresh, bright new look and new tables and chairs. On the opening day - 30 July - there will be no charge for parking at Anglers.
