Wakefield Together roadshow arrives in South Kirkby
Ref: PR2666
Date: 07/07/2010
Wakefield Together continues to hit the road in series of outdoor roadshows across the district and on Saturday July 10 arrives at Northfield Primary School, South Kirkby.
Organisations including the Council, police and the Wakefield and District Housing will be out in communities talking to citizens about issues that matter to them.
People visiting the events will be able to talk to representatives of the different organisations and will have the opportunity to give their views about how their communities can be improved.
Chair of the Wakefield Together Partnership and Leader of Wakefield Council Cllr Peter Box said: "Wakefield Together is helping make the district a place to be proud of and to do this we want to talk to people in their own communities. I hope they take the opportunity to take part.
"These roadshows will be going around the district in the next few months, following up the Wakefield Together events earlier this year which gave people the opportunity to share their ambitions for the next ten years for the district."
