Apprenticeships with Wakefield Council

Applications are invited during late January /early February each year to commence training in August of that year.

Find out more about apprenticeships, including what is happening nationally through the National Apprenticeship Service web site (see 'Related Links').  

Wakefield Council offer you the opportunity to earn while you learn on our Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship programme.

You can earn good rates of pay while you learn new skills and gain NVQ Qualifications in a wide variety of occupations and trades.

All training is undertaken within the Council or partnering organisation in the service area and at local colleges of further and higher education.

You get employed status too and don’t forget you will be learning from both the Council's and its partnering organisation's own highly skilled and qualified staff!

Applications are welcomed from all sections of the population including school leavers and young unemployed persons, members of ethnic minorities, women and disabled people.
