It can sometimes be hard for tenants to pay their rent. Don’t let a low income put you off taking on a tenant; we may be able to help them pay their rent through Housing Benefit.

We now have a dedicated line available for landlords. Call us on 0845 8 504 504 and choose option 4.

What is Housing Benefit?

Housing benefit is for people on a low income to help meet the cost of rent. It is administered by Wakefield Council on behalf of Central Government.

Housing Benefit is means tested, so income and savings, together with household circumstances, will affect the amount of help someone may be entitled to.
