There is a massive amount of Housing and Council Tax Benefit that goes unclaimed each year by all pockets of our community. The only way people are going to know about any extra money they could be entitled to, is by having access to information about them.
There are many ways we can help to raise awareness of Housing and Council Tax Benefits. For example, we could:
- have an information stand at an open day, event or jobs fair
- provide advice by attending a community group
- provide leaflets, posters etc to display in community centres
If you:
- are a member of a community group
- are part of a carers group
- are a member of a town council or have people who come to you for help and support
- lead a group of people on low income
- are an employer with a number of low paid staff
- are having an event where you would like one of our representatives to be present
