Benefit take up - are you getting enough?
In the UK, millions of pounds in benefits go unclaimed each year. At Wakefield Council we are committed to making sure that as many people as possible get all the benefits they are entitled to, by having a dedicated team available to promote benefit, provide advice and help people to claim the benefits they are entitled to.
If you:
- think you may be entitled to claim or know someone who you think could qualify for help;
- are a member of a community group;
- are part of a carers group;
- are a member of a town council or have people who come to you for help and support;
- lead a group of people on low income;
- are an employer with a number of low paid staff;
- are having an event where you would like one of our representatives to be present;
