The Welfare Rights and Assessment Team provides free advice and information on Welfare Benefits to service users and residents in the Wakefield District. We also assist all Service Users or their representatives where a request has been made for financial assistance in relation to paying for services i.e. residential care, non-residential services, adult placement etc.
Our Aim
We work to ensure that citizens of Wakefield make the most of the Welfare Law. Our aim is to:-
- Provide high quality advice and information on Welfare Benefits and Financial Assessments
- Assist Service Users or their representatives when claiming the welfare benefits that they are entitled to
- Actively promote the take-up of benefits
