A worker will then ask you for the details of your enquiry and depending on the details you give, will either:

  1. Provide you with information
  2. Provide you with advice and guidance
  3. Redirect the query to the place where it can best be dealt with
  4. Gather information, undertake assessments and forward ongoing work to the appropriate Family Services Team

Online Adults Referral Form
You can now refer yourself or someone else by completing a Social Care Adult Referral Form online. You can do this by clicking on the link in 'Related Links'.

If your concern is about:

  • Wakefield District Housing please call 0845 8507 507 (24 hours)
  • Environmental Services call 0845 8506 506 (24 hours)
  • Housing and Council Tax Benefits call 0845 8504 504

Community Link Service
The Community Link Service may also be contacted by telephoning Social Care Direct.

The purpose of the Community Link Service is to encourage access to Family Services and to ensure that the social care needs of Wakefield's Black and Minority Ethnic communities are met.

Staff are fluent in both Urdu and Punjabi and also have access to a telephone interpreting service for other languages.
