In order to plan for this change Wakefield Together, the Wakefield District Partnership have put a plan together called 'Positively Ageing - A Strategy to Improve Well-being in Later Life'.

The aim of this is to:

• Plan for the future
• Better recognise the contribution and achievement an older population can make

This plan has been put together with representatives of local organisations and community groups.

We are all working together to make sure that the services and support we provide will make a real difference to improving people's lives. We want people to live longer, healthier and more active lives.

The celebrate the plan will be launched on the 9 November 2009. All those involved in putting the plan together have been invited.
