About Safe@home

Safe@Home is a specialist ‘one stop service’ offering advice, support and information to those affected by domestic abuse in the Wakefield district.

The service is a partnership between Wakefield Council, Primary Care Trust and West Yorkshire Police who have joined together to offer expert advice and support those affected by domestic abuse.

The Service aims to:

  • Provide individual, group work and counselling for
    • Those experiencing domestic abuse
    • Those who want to address their abusive behaviour
  • Provide advice and support for health professionals, practitioners and the voluntary sector encountering domestic abuse with service users.

Support and advice is available for a range of issues including: 

We provide services to everyone affected by domestic abuse regardless of gender, age, race or nationality. If English is your second language we will provide an interpreter or make arrangements to ensure the services can be provided.
