Would you like to contribute to the development of social care services?

Would you like to tells us about your experiences of receiving a social care service and help us to make our services better?

If so we are putting together a list of people who have said they would like to help us develop our services.

If you want to have your say - join our list. It is the simplest way to get involved.

Once you have been added to the list, there are many different things that you an get involved in. Here are some examples:

Surveys

This may involve taking part in a survey over the telephone, completing a questionnaire or speaking to someone in person about a service you receive.

Focus Groups

There may be opportunities to join a focus group where individuals can develop ideas and share knowledge with other service users, carers and social services representatives.

Attend an Event

You may be invited to attend one-off events, which focus around a particular area or service for development and discussion.

When we receive your details we will keep them on file for 12 months. During this time we will inform you of any events, groups or surveys that you may wish to take part in (based on the information you have provided). After 12 months we will contact you again to find out if you want to stay on the list.

Wakefield Local Involvement Networks LINks

Your Local Involvement Network (LINk) gives you the opportunity to influence your local health and care services. Anyone can get involved, and it has been set up to make sure that people in your area get the health and social services they need.

LINks are made up of individuals and community groups who work together to improve local services. The job of a LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services and work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better.  This may involve talking directly to health care professionals about a service that is not being offered or suggesting ways that an existing service could be made better.

For more information see Local Involvement Network (LINk).
