Our Family Support social work teams undertake detailed assessments and offer support to families and children (including where there are child protection concerns or where parents are struggling to care for their child).

Social workers may work directly with you and your child or you may get additional help through our 'Intensive Support Teams' or 'Family Centres'.

Intensive Support Teams work with older children and their families where parents are experiencing problems and where the behaviour of young people is causing concern.

Family Centres provide support for families with children aged from 0-10. The centres will work with you to support you in parenting your child in a positive and welcoming environment.  To find out more about our Family Centres click on the link.
