Supporting People programme

The Supporting People programme is a government initiative. It offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life by enabling them to live more independent lives by providing housing related support.

Wakefield’s vision for Supporting People is to offer vulnerable people the opportunity to improve the quality of their life by enhancing their independence. Wakefield will do this by delivering housing related support to create a stable environment, which enables greater personal independence.

Information about the Supporting People programme nationally is available on the Government's Supporting People website - see 'Related Links'.

You can also download the lastest Supporting People Strategy Summary for 2005-2010, under the 'Downloads' section.
