Wakefield Family Services provide day care services for older people. This is provided from six Day Centres across the district offering a wide range of activities to maintain independence.
As part of Family Services our day care services for older people aims to support the whole family.

How to access Day Services
- If you already have a social worker, please talk to them about it. If not, please contact Social Care Direct on 0845 8503 503.
- A community care assessment will then be completed by the appropriate professional which will include a financial assessment.
- If eligible for the service an introductory visit to the day centre will be arranged.
Day Centres have access and facilities for a range of disabilities. All staff are trained and work to strict council guidelines.
