Hot Meals Service

The hot meals service is available up to seven days a week. This service is for people who cannot manage to make a meal for themselves and are unable to cope with reheating frozen meals.

There is a choice of food, which you pre-order and is then delivered hot by WRVS staff. All types of diets and food to meet your religious needs can be catered for.

To be able to access this service you will need to have been assessed as needing the service. See related links for further information.

For further information or to enquire about an assessment contact Social Care Direct. This is the first point of contact for social care services.

There is a cost for the meals. Wakefield Council help pay towards some of the cost and WRVS charge you for the rest. You can either pay the driver when he delivers your meals or WRVS can invoice you. You or your carer can then send them a cheque.
