What is it?
Mooncup is a soft silicone cup that can be reused for every period. Worn internally, slightly lower than a tampon, Mooncup collects rather than absorbs menstrual fluid.
Is it easy to use?
Correctly inserted Mooncup is so comfortable that you can not feel it is there. It may take a little practice at first, as you need to find the angle and position that is right for you.
Mooncup is folded and inserted into the vagina and opens up once it is inside. You will need to take out and empty your Mooncup every four to eight hours depending on your flow. Mooncup is then simply rinsed out or wiped, and reinserted. It can be sterilised between periods to keep it clean.
Why is it better?
Mooncup is designed for comfort and convenience. There is no mess, no leaks and no dryness. You will only need one Mooncup which saves you money and is eco-friendly.
Mooncup is made from hypoallergenic silicone. It will not imbalance your healthy vaginal environment or deposit fibres in your vagina wall. With Mooncup you will not absorb pesticides or bleaches into your body. Mooncup is ideal for travelling, swimming, exercise and overnight use.
Mooncups can be purchased by Wakefield Council residents at a subsidised rate of £16.00 (including postage and packaging) - all you need to do is download the application from in related links
