The council are introducing the sale of the Green Cone food digester
Green Cone is an unique and environmentally-friendly solution for managing household food waste. The unit accepts all cooked and uncooked food waste including vegetable scraps, meat, fish, bones, dairy products and other surplus organic kitchen material. The food digester reduces the contents to its natural components of water and CO2.

You can buy a Green Cone from the council at the reduced price of £55. This includes the cone and the accelerator powder. Pick one up at your convenience from one of the following places:

Proof of identity
When you collect your Green Cone you will need to bring something with your address on like a bank statement or a utility bill.
Payment
Please note we can only accept payment by cheque or postal order. Please make your cheque payable to Wakefield MDC and put your address on the back of the cheque.
