Mixed glassMagazines

  • Recycle – magazines in your paper-recycling bin or take to any Household Waste Recycling Centre or Mini Recycling Centre. 

Medicine Bottles

  • Return any unused medicines to your local pharmacy. Don’t pass your medication onto other people.
  • Recycle – empty bottles can be recycled in you recycling box, Household Waste Recycling Centre or Mini Recycling Centre. 
  • Please place empty metal/plastic pill strips in the household waste bin

Metal

  • Recycle – take to any Household Waste Recycling Centre. 

Milk Containers

  • Recycle – milk bottles in your recycling box or take them to any Household Waste Recycling Centre or Mini Recycling Centre. 
  • Please rinse and squash your plastic milk bottles where safe to do so. 
  • Card based milk cartons (Tetra Paks) can be recycled at some mini recycling centres across the district.  See drink carton recycling for more information

Mobile Phones

  • Recycle -contact your favourite charity to see if they are collecting them. E.g. The Woodland Trust receives £2.50 for every phone sent to greener solutions for recycling.
  • You can request a freepost envelope from wt@greenersolutions.com or by calling 08274 4040
  • Return your mobile to the phone shop 
  • Take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre

Musical Instruments

  • Repair – where possible repair the instrument
  • Reuse – donate unwanted instruments to charities, schools or community groups for reuse.
