Pest Control Contracts

What is a Pest Control Contract?

A pest control contract is an agreement to provide pest control services for a fixed price. A pest control officer will carry out a number of service visits to your premises (usually between 6 and 12 per year) to check for signs of pest activity and give advice on pest control. If pest problems are found, either during a service visit or at any time in between, then the pests are treated with no additional charge – it’s all in the contract price!

What are the benefits of a Pest Control Contract?

  • Fixed costs, so you don’t get hit for the high cost of reactive pest control treatments
  • Demonstrates Good Management Practice and puts you in control
  • Helps to protect your premises and stock from pest damage
  • Gives confidence to your customers

Who should have a Pest Control Contract?

Anyone can have a pest control contract from a domestic premise, shops, restaurants, take-aways, offices, schools, care homes, waste facilities, warehousing and manufacturing.  There will be a pest control contract to suit your needs.

Food caterers and manufacturers particularly benefit from a pest control contract because in addition to the benefits above it can help to show “due diligence” and improve your Scores on the Doors Star Rating.

So how much does it cost?

Probably not as much as you might think!

The contract cost depends on:

  • What types of pest you want to be covered in the contract.
  • The size of the premises covered in the contract.
  • The risk of pest control activity – for example if open food is handled or stored on the premises.

A Standard Contract includes:

  • Six contract service visits per year, including bait stations as necessary.
  • Free call-outs and treatment for the pest included in the contract.
  • A Contract Service Log – to provide a written record of the service visits and treatments undertaken.
  • Free advice from a Qualified Pest Control Officer.
  • Plus 25% off treatments not covered in the contract (e.g. squirrel, pigeon, mole treatments etc).
  • Plus 25% off training courses provided by the Health Development Unit (see above).

But don’t forget we can adjust your contract specification to suit your needs.
