Horticultural Grounds Maintenance

All horticultural maintenance of Council owned land is done by teams of Council employees working in the Neighbourhood Environment section. This includes:-

  • Parks
  • Municipal golf courses
  • Public open spaces
  • Highway verges
  • Town and city centres
  • Public buildings,
  • Social care sites
  • Cemeteries and crematoria
  • Outdoor play areas and
  • Schools

This work includes numerous jobs such as grass cutting, rose and shrub pruning, weed and litter removal, hedge cutting, pitch marking, tree maintenance (pruning, planting and removal) and safety inspection. 
 
Neighbourhood Environment is moving forward with its commitment to a cleaner, safer, healthier and attractive environment.
