Food Safety - infectious disease

Food poisoning is a notifiable infectious disease. Any case will be investigated by staff from the Food Safety section along with a Consultant in Communicable Diseases (CCDC) from the health protection agency.
 
If you want more information about infectious diseases this department has produced a number of leaflets on the common causes of food poisoning. Further information can be found on the Food Standards Agency (FSA), or Foodlink website.
