Health Action Wakefield Grant Scheme

Please note: All of the current funding for the Health Action Wakefield Grant Scheme has now been allocated. All applications are now being placed on a waiting list until more funding is available.

Wakefield Council has secured more funding to provide you with free insulation this autumn/winter. The Health Action Wakefield scheme has been re-launched for 2008. The Scheme originally ran in 2004-05 when over 260 homes had free insulation installed. During 2007-08 over 290 homes had free insulation.

With substantial fuel price rises over the past two years and more to come, making your home energy efficient is the way to save money. 60% of the heat lost in a typical house is through the walls and the roof so cavity wall and loft insulation is the best way to reduce this. One of the most effective ways to warm up your home and be healthier is to install the recommended loft and cavity insulation in your home. By installing better insulation you could not only save money but you will be warmer and healthier this winter.

Wakefield Council cannot guarantee a further funding extension so we urge everyone to take advantage of this offer now. This grant is being delivered by the Council’s approved partners KES. All the work is free of charge and done by reputable local installers.
