Help with insulation and heating improvements.  Grants and discounts now available. 

Energy Savers is available district-wide and provides the following home energy efficiency improvements:

• Loft insulation
• Cavity wall insulation
• Hot water tank jackets
• Boiler replacements
• Central heating systems
• Heating repairs

Three Energy Savers offers are available:

1. Insulation Grants

Energy Savers Insulation Grants provide FREE loft and cavity wall insulation to private (owner occupied and private rented) households where the occupant meets both of the following criteria:

a) Receive free/reduced cost medical prescriptions or are aged 60 or over.
b) Live in a private home that is Council Tax Band A, B or C.

FREE Energy Savers Insulation Grants are also available to private households that receive a benefit.*

2. Insulation Discounts

All other households that don’t meet the criteria list above can still access a competitive Energy Savers Insulation Discount, with prices starting from £141 each for loft and cavity wall insulation.

3. Heating Discounts

Energy Savers offers specially discounted rates for a range of heating improvements with prices starting from £3,474 for a full central heating system and £2,274 for a replacement gas boiler.

All energy efficiency improvement work is installed by British Gas’ highly skilled installers and comes with a guarantee for your piece of mind.

Also available to qualifying households is the Wakefield Energy Savers Loan which provides interest FREE help with insulation, heating and solar power improvements.
