Special Educational Needs (SEN) Strategy 2011-2014
There is a statutory requirement for all Local Authorities to have a current Special Educational Needs (SEN) Strategy.
The SEN Strategy should clearly set out the Local Authority’s vision for SEN and the continued development of specialist educational support and educational provision. In this respect, the SEN Strategy focuses only on education but it is recognised that other services outside of education work closely with children with SEN and therefore will play a role in supporting the Strategy.
