Wakefield Council continues to be part of the West Yorkshire scheme, working together to offer looked after children in care a Max Card.
This scheme allows looked after children, their parents/carers and one other child, free entry to museums and galleries across the region, as indicated in the brochure.
The Max Card meets with the government's social inclusion agenda with the aim of raising the educational attainment of looked after children.
Through this scheme it is hoped to make museums, galleries and sites of historical interest more accessible, providing educational and leisure activities to young people.
