  • The Children & Young Persons Act 1933 and 1963;
  • The Education Act 1996;
  • The Children (Protection at Work) Regulations 1998
  • Wakefield District Council Byelaws.

Employers who contravene the laws on employment of children risk prosecution in Magistrates Court
