The LEA thinks it is important that schools should serve their local communities and so each school has its own catchment area.  However, parents are required to express a preference, stating their choice of school, even if this is the catchment area school.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that there will be a place for every child in their catchment area school, it cannot be guaranteed that this will always be the case.
