The Training Directory's aim is to provide you with information about the training opportunities that are available for people working, or planning to work in early education, play and childcare. 

Included in the directory are details of nationally accredited qualifications recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. As you may be aware, OfSTED require the person in charge of the setting to have a level 3 qualification appropriate to the post and that half the childcare staff hold a level 2 qualification relevant to the post. It will also be important to consider progression routes and higher-level qualifications for childcare practitioners to respond to the Government’s future workforce development agenda.   
   
The directory contains information on training courses available and includes the name of the Training Provider delivering the training and a contact telephone number. Please contact the Provider directly if you require any further information on course content, times, dates, venue and cost of the training etc. Some dates are included in the Directory but courses will be planned to meet demand and extra dates may be available. 

There is a proforma in the Directory for each training course on offer and this includes a breakdown of the details on the cost of each course.  All prices included in the Directory are correct at the time of going to press, however may be subject to change.
