Play Day 2010

Playday is the biggest annual play celebration in the country.  On Playday each year, thousands of children take part in free play celebrations across the UK.

Wakefield’s Playday, this year, is being held on Wednesday 4 August 2010 at Thornes Park in Wakefield, 10am – 4pm.

There will be a FREE range of activities for children and young people including: bouncy castles, trampoline, giant inflatable slide, arts and crafts, archery, mobile roller-skate rink, straw bales, baby ballet, and many more!  Refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.

Changing facilities are available at the Thornes Park Sports Centre for parents with disabled children. Portoloos will also be provided which includes a disabled unit.

There will also be satellite events in other areas of Wakefield District throughout that week.
