The Wakefield Play Strategy

The Childcare and Market Development Team is leading on the development of a Play Strategy for children and young people aged 0-18 across the Wakefield District. The Play Strategy aims to improve and develop inclusive play provision in terms of quality, quantity, accessibility and safety to meet the needs of local children and young people.

The purpose of the play strategy is to create a shared vision for play across the district and to ensure that fun, exciting, accessible play opportunities are available for all children irrespective of race, gender, age, ability or geographical location.
