Council Maintained Nursery and Pre-5 Provision

The majority of infant and primary (J&I) schools within the Wakefield District offer nursery education for both 3 and 4 year olds, generally known as the Foundation Stage.  These schools currently offer 5 half-day sessions per week (2½ hours per session) usually morning or afternoon sessions.  No charge is made for this free entitlement in the Council Maintained Sector.

All maintained schools manage their own nursery waiting lists.  If there are any schools that you are interested in then contact them directly.
