Registration and staffing

Neighbourhood Nurseries are registered with OfSTED and are regularly inspected in order to provide daycare and Nursery Education.

The Nursery Manager is registered as the person in charge and has overall duty to ensure minimum standards are met and that the Neighbourhood Nursery provision is of good quality.

The Deputy Nursery Manager holds overall responsibility for planning for meeting the needs of children under 3.

All staff are supported with training to NVQ Level 2 and at least half the staff within the setting are qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Early Education and Childcare (or other equivalent qualification to the post).

All staff are checked with the Criminal Records Bureau prior to starting work for the nursery.

Good practice and high quality is supported through the central Early Years team by experienced and qualified Early Years practitioners and teacher support.

Each nursery is working towards a nationally recognised Quality Assurance scheme.

Copies of the OfSTED inspection reports can be viewed on the OfSTED website, or can be requested through the Nursery Manager.
