Community Sports Leadership Awards (CSLA)
The Community Sports Leadership Award is a basic award for anyone over 16 years of age, to give individuals the confidence and skills required to enable them to provide sporting opportunities and recreational activities within the community. Community sports and active recreation is not about blood, sweat and tears - it is about helping others to meet, mix and have fun through a sports environment.
The Community Sports Leadership Award is a nationally recognised award of approximately 24 hours in duration. The course does not require participants to be of a high skill level as the emphasis is on leadership and not personal ability. Upon completion of this course, participants must undertake 10 hours of voluntary work, putting into practice skills acquired during the course.
