This Club Directory was compiled in line with the Data Protection Act and all clubs featured have given permission for club contact details to be published.

Each entry contains a contact for the club, training venues and times and the area where the club is based. All clubs included within the Directory operate an 'open membership policy' and are part of the directory in the hope of attracting new members from all sections of the community.

It is not Wakefield Metropolitan District Council's intention for this source of information to be seen as a guide recommending particular clubs. The development standards, which some clubs have met, have been listed, informing you whether the club has certain policies and procedures in place. Information has been supplied by the club and, although our Sport & Active Lifestyles Unit is working towards developing clubs, no follow up work has been done to confirm the accuracy of the information supplied.
