What to do at Notton

Walking and Cycling
Pond at Notton WoodNotton Woods has a number of pathways and tracks which make the area interesting to explore on foot or by bicycle.

Archaeology
Within the wood there is a late prehistoric settlement site. Although difficult to find it is surrounded by a ditch with an inner and outer bank. The break in the ditch and banks on its South East side may have been the original entrance.

Wildlife Watching
Notton has some interesting woodland birds such as Woodpeckers and Jays. Kingfishers and Heron can sometimes be seen near the pond and stream. Butterflies, including the Comma, Speckled Wood and Peacocks are often seen in the summer months.

Access
The wood can be reached on foot from Notton Village, Lee Lane, New Royston and from Keeper Lane, Notton. Limited parking is available on the roadside on Keeper Lane, Notton.
