Cultural Services Acceptable Use Policy: Use Of Private Portable Equipment
Cultural Services provides access to the internet and other information technology, to support educational, recreational and cultural needs of the community through the use of dedicated computer equipment on-site.
However there may be certain circumstances when a member of the public wishes to use their own equipment on Cultural Services premises e.g laptop computer.
Cultural Services will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to users and personal property including unauthorised use of computer facilities.
- I understand that any private portable equipment may not be connected to Cultural Services power sockets
- If I use any type of private portable equipment in Cultural Services premises, it is subject to current Health and Safety legislation
- I understand that Cultural Services will not accept liability for any loss or damage to private portable equipment
- If I use my laptop, it must be on a stand-alone basis (powered by batteries), and must not be connected to other computers or the Cultural Services network system for internet purposes
- If I use my laptop, it is subject to the same terms and conditions listed in the Acceptable Use Policy for Cultural Services own fixed computers.
- If I use my portable photocopier, it must be operated within the guidelines of current copyright legislation
