The objects in this display have been used by Wakefield people to mark births, marriages and deaths from the 1800s to 2006.

Local people have celebrated births and marriages by taking photographs and buying presents to remember them by.

We have commemorated deaths by having a keepsake to remind us of loved ones.

Adults learning English as a second language at Chesneys in Featherstone have written about rites of passage in their own countries. Their work accompanies the Hatch, Match Dispatch display.
