Location/Direction

To the north of Wakefield City Centre on the A642. The entrance is off the A642 opposite Pinderfields Hospital main gates.  

Information

Clarke Hall is a late 17th century gentleman farmer's house, primarily used by schools as an educational resource.

Clarke Hall is known locally and nationally for its interpretative educational work with schools who use it every day in term time.   

The Hall holds special living history Open Days and other events specifically for the wider public. There are regular activities for children during school holidays. 

Guided tours by costumed guides also take place.  

A modern centre on the site features exhibits and displays related to the history of the hall. The centre is available for meetings and can cater for up to forty people.

Opening Times

The Museum is not open to the public during term time. It is open to the public only at designated times during open day events.
