Wakefield’s stunning new market hall houses 50 units and there are nine shop units fronting on to Union Street.
There is an optician, bespoke curtains, a florist, shoe repairer and shoe sales, clothing, jewellery, cosmetics, traditional sweets, greetings cards, art, hair extensions and fancy dress and much more. It is outdoor Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm.
The outdoor market is held every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with a global market on Thursday. There is a wide selection of goods on offer on the outdoor market including fruit and vegetables, plants and household goods, clothing, sweets, velvet art and bedding.
If you want to take a break while shopping at Wakefield Market there is a choice of cafes and food outlets in the market hall, shop units and outdoor market. The new Market Hall is on Union Street, opposite the bus station in Wakefield city centre.
