Castleford Market Hall is open Monday to Saturday with half day closing on Wednesday.

It is home to more than 80 traders, including a food section which has a delicatessen, fresh fish, a butcher’s, a freezer shop and four cafes. There is also specialist babywear, carpets, bespoke curtains, cosmetics, jewellery and fancy dress.

The Open Market is held on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. One of the big draws is a baker who offers bread baked that day and always attracts long queues.

There are a variety of other stalls including jeans, unusual jewellery featuring semi-precious stones and a great selection of clothing. There is a second hand market on Thursdays.
