A number of libraries in the district have rooms available for hire by the local community.  All are suitable to hold meetings by clubs, societies and organisations.
The following libraries have rooms for hire:-

• Airedale
• Featherstone
• Hemsworth
• Knottingley
• Normanton
• Ossett
• Pontefract
• Stanley
• Upton

The libraries at Featherstone, Normanton and Stanley each have the additional facility of a Community Centre which allows for larger meetings, theatrical and musical performances, weddings and anniversaries etc.

The hire charges for local groups are very competitive, being subsidised by Wakefield Council. 

Bookings from commercial organisations are also taken but the hourly rates will be negotiated individually according to the nature of the function.
