Who are FOCAL?
FOCAL was established in February 1998. A group of local people who use the library decided that such a valuable asset deserved to be promoted and supported. Meetings are held bi-monthly at the library on Monday evenings. Start time is 6.30pm.
FOCAL recently produced a book, Castleford Free Library 1905-2005. Researched and written by members Pat Bentley and Maragret Lound, it tells the history of the library. A fascinating read and a must purchase. It is available for sale in Castleford library.
