The peoples network project has allowed us to network all 28 libraries across the Wakefield District and provide a free internet service together with other software options e.g. word processing.

Libraries, including the mobile library, can now offer you the following services:-

• internet and email facilities
• community information
• government/council information
• lifelong-learning opportunities
• a range of office software applications

You will be able to surf the net, and scan documents or images. The benefits will include:-

• find out what's going on in your area
• use email to contact family or friends
• research your family history
• plan a holiday
• support your studies in school or college
