The peoples network project has allowed us to network all 28 libraries across the Wakefield District and provide a free internet service together with other software options e.g. word processing.
Libraries, including the mobile library, can now offer you the following services:-
- internet and email facilities
- community information
- government/council information
- lifelong-learning opportunities
- a range of office software applications
You will be able to surf the net, and scan documents or images. The benefits will include:-
- find out what's going on in your area
- use email to contact family or friends
- research your family history
- plan a holiday
- support your studies in school or college
