Location and Directions
Ten minutes walk from the centre of Wakefield and Westgate Station, the Wakefield Learning and Local Studies Library is housed in the Balne Lane Headquarters of Wakefield Libraries and Information Service.
There is free car park but please display a car parking permit available from the Library counter.

Resources
The Reference and Study area on the balcony offers resources such as dictionaries, maps, leaflets, business directories and government legislation. The lending collection concentrates on providing books for work and study.
The Local Studies section on the ground floor holds the main local and family history collection for the District. This includes material in various formats from newspaper cuttings to limited edition books.
