Location and direction
Normanton is well placed strategically. It is located off exit 31 of the M62 motorway and is very accessible from both Wakefield district and the surrounding areas. The Centre itself is in the heart of Normanton, near the main shopping centre and adjacent to the town's new swimming pool.

The Building
The Library and Community Centre on Market Street was officially re-opened on 9th November 2001. Originally built in the 1960's, the building was formerly used as a Community & Leisure Centre. After extensive refurbishment the site is now able to offer modern library facilities and also community meeting space within one building.
