Important changes to our service.
Pending the move of the service to another location the YLI music & Drama Library will close to the public on 31st March 2012. Up to that date the collection is still available to use at Balne Lane Library with the following changes to access arrangements.
The main public entrance is no longer in use. To access the collection you must enter via the loading bay door up the steps on the car park side of the building. Use the telephone by the inner door to contact the library on Ext 32229. Someone will let you in and escort you through to the library.
Should you require level access please contact the library in advance of your visit so we can arrange to let you in via a level entrance.
There are also some changes to the opening hours (See below)

Services
The Music and Drama Library at Balne Lane, Wakefield holds an extensive collection of books on all aspects of music, theatre and drama. The Library is also home to the Yorkshire Libraries and Information (YLI) collection of performing sets.
It is hoped that the catalogue of all our holdings will be available online in the future. In the meantime it is possible to search our collection of music performance sets on the ENCORE! site (see 'Related Links')
