Constructed in 1986 this 25m deck level swimming pool offers a variety of activities to suit all ages and abilities. Positioned in the middle of town there are excellent parking and bus connections.

The facility includes:-     

•  A 25m x 12.5m deck level short course competition swimming pool. The pool is equipped with a hoist and graduated steps for people with difficulty getting in and out of the water.
  
• The water temperature is a constant 29 degrees and is ideal for children learning to swim, family fun and synchronized swimming as well as all the activities listed in the Pool Activities page. 
  
• The refreshment area positioned next to the pool is ideal for watching those having fun in the pool or enjoying a party after your fun session at one of our birthday party deals.
  
• Snacks and drinks are available from vending machines. 
   

You will find details of the various types of swimming session on offer at Pontefract Swimming Pool along with the current weekly timetable.  When using the Pool we ask all swimmers to abide by the Swimmers Code of Conduct and the Children's Admission to Swimming Pools Policy to make your visit to us both safe and enjoyable.
