The Council's Sports Development Team are back on the road again in 2008 continuing to expand its school holiday sports provision within local communities. Their main programmes target holiday periods that stretch beyond one week, for example, Easter and Summer holidays, although the team provide sport provision during the October and February breaks.  We will running be a number of Multi-Sport Roadshows and specific sports coaching sessions at various locations.

The programmes led by highly trained and qualified staff provide a range of activities for all abilities, particularly using multi-sport and multi-skill approaches to introduce children and young people to sport. The multi-sport approach is often followed up with sport specific programmes, whereby children can select their chosen sport to further develop their skills.
