Playing Fields offer a valuable resource for informal sport and play areas. 

There are a large number of sports pitches available for hire to play football, rugby, cricket and hockey as well as Lacrosse, Rounders and American Football at locations throughout the District.

The great facilities within the Wakefield District are used by over 200 teams use Wakefield Council sports pitches and 31 different leagues and associations.
