Wakefield’s Pitch Plan will guide the future management, improvement and development of playing pitches right across the District.

We are all aware of the many health and social benefits to taking part in casual or organised sport. It is important, therefore, that we have high quality pitches in the right locations that will maximise performance and enable greater participation.

This plan provides a ten-year programme of improvements that will ensure the District’s playing pitch resources meet the community’s requirements both now and in the future.
